The Passion Play 2010 in Oberammergau Germany will be a historic year for Wilcox World Travel and Tours / American Express. This will be our 7th year that we have taken tour groups and guests to this spectacular performance, stretching back to our first year in 1960. Wilcox World Travel and Tours / American Express operated over 33 European tour groups during the production of the play in 2000. Along with the villagers and people from all corners of the world, you'll experience an ancient, historical reenactment of the life of Jesus Christ.
In 2010, we’re featuring the Passion Play in Oberammergau in three different tours, each offered on a variety of dates. All of our tours include hotel accommodations in the centre of town at the quaint and cozy Turmwirt Hotel , within walking distance to the Passion Play Theatre.

SWITZERLAND, ITALY, AUSTRIA & GERMANY – 2010
Including the Passion Play! Our journey will take us by vast turquoise lakes edged with pure green meadows and valleys dotted with picturesque villages. Pretty decorated chalets, traditional wooden farmsteads, the sound of cowbells are still part of Switzerland today. We’ll visit the lakeside resort of Interlaken with its views of the mountains, cascading waterfalls fed by the mountain glaciers and melting mountain top snows. We journey through truly spectacular alpine scenery towards the border with Italy, into the area of the Italian lakes renowned for its vast blue lakes; explore the glorious pink-tinged city of Verona, used as the setting for Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet; Venice - a city built upon 117 Islands, threaded with 150 canals and 400 bridges. A journey through the spectacular Austrian countryside is resplendent with colorful small towns, to Innsbruck, the capital of the Tyrol region! With over 500,000 visitors in 2000 and based on the large number of inquiries we received for reservations during the past performances , we suggest you sign up early for the next Passion Play performance coming in 2010, as we have already sold out all of our August and September performances! |

SEATING PLAN |

All of Wilcox World Travel & Tour’s Passion Play arrangements include admission ticket / seating in Section 1, which includes an excellent view to the stage. The acoustics in the whole Passion Play theatre is excellent. Altogether there are 4.720 seats in the Passion Play theatre.
Each of our groups stay at the Turmwirt Hotel in Oberammergau, Germany (within walking distance of the Passion Play theater). Remember, when looking for tickets, be sure to look for hotels within walking distance of the Theater. There are several packages where the hotels used are over 2 hours away from the town. This causes a big problem with the new schedule of the play, as the play will be ending around 11pm. We will also have a Wilcox Travel Representative on site throughout our performance dates to assist with any needs that may arise. |
